Which Water Do We Need To Drink Based On Our Health Objectives? (2nd article in a series of 3)

It goes without saying that in order to stay healthy, it is necessary to drink plenty of water every day. Water carries nutrients into cells, helps digestion, rids us of toxins, fights migraines and fatigue, and may even encourage weight loss and body maintenance. Our bodies are made up of 75% water. It is therefore vital for the survival and health of our organism to stay well hydrated at all times.

5 – THE QUANTITY

You should drink according to your thirst on the one hand, while trying … not to forget to drink! The classic recommendation is to absorb up to 30 ml of pure water per kg of body weight per day! Drinking a lot is good for people of median build and especially for thin people, who are quickly dehydrated, so 30 ml / kg / day is a valid indication for people of normal or rather reduced weight. For others who are overweight, it is necessary to drink a little more, but not too much: 30 ml / kg and per day must then be calculated on the minimum ideal weight and not the true weight.

The most important thing for everyone is to drink hot and flavourful (with herbs or herbal teas), which will inevitably help to achieve the right dose of daily hydration; when you drink like this, you can easily increase your amount of liquid by 10 to 20%! This constitutes a real revolution for the body and a real medical treatment, if the water is of good quality. Drink more to improve health problems like inflammation of the skin, constipation, different types of cystitis, headaches, or backaches! These are the first signs of chronic dehydration. If you drink a diuretic like coffee or black tea (a bad habit adopted by many at the start of the day), then you should increase your daily intake of fresh water by the same amount.

6 – THE RHYTHM OF GLASSES OF WATER

Aside from the overall quantity, the when is also an important point to consider. The ideal is to drink abundantly in the morning upon getting up, for example, 2 cups of water or hot herbal teas: hot water, because the metabolism in the morning is further slowed down and it will thus be activated. Then, you should drink between meals according to your thirst and your physical activity, athletes and labourers should not forget to take a little salt after sweating a lot. During the meals themselves, it is advisable to drink little, but hot, and to finish a meal again with a small hot water intake, to ideally start digestion (especially if you have, for a treat, had a frozen dessert).

7. THE ENERGY OF WATER AND ITS STRUCTURE

Water is not just a bunch of unorganized H2O molecules; Water is an exceptionally fine network that carries information.

If the water has contained pollutants, their imprint remains etched in the structure of the water and only adequate filtration could eliminate this residual memory. At this point, the water needs to be re-programmed…

8. MEASURING THE ACIDITY OF WATER

Water comes out of the tap at a pH of around 7. However, the city must add chemicals to bring this water to a pH of 7. Since we are rather acidic, due to stress and also by the food we eat which is also often acidic, it is better to consume more alkaline water. This helps assimilation of food, helps prevent joint pain, improves our sleep, skin, hair, and much more.

If our digestion process is too slow, then decaying bacteria take over. The intestinal flora is what repairs the mucous membranes of the intestine, it produces vitamins (vitamins K and B), it modulates our immune response to the food itself! We need to be alkaline to prevent infections in many forms because bacteria love acidity!
