Which Water Do We Need To Drink Based On Our Health Objectives?
Water – do we need to be reminded – is the most important constituent of the body, around 70% by volume and up to 99% by number of molecules! This goes to show the significance that the quality of water has each day in our diet …
However, water remains unrecognized, because there is no rigorous teaching on this topic given to doctors and nutritionists, so that they acquire a little more respect for this vital element of our body!
Below we share the main criteria on quality, namely that water will be absorbed and assimilated by your tissues and organs, and that it will play its role of mediator which is so important for all the biophysical and biochemical reactions of your cells. Here are some important criteria to characterize good water quality:
1 – PURITY
To effectively wash your body, you need to absorb pure water! What is not so obvious today, is that both city water and bottled water have flaws on this point: running water contains many residues of medications and agricultural pesticides. Bottled water, in addition to its anti-ecological side due to the plastic being released into the environment, contains toxic aldehydes and antimony from PET, which causes enormous hormonal problems.
2 – THE TEMPERATURE
It is recommended to drink hot water most often: in the morning when getting up, drink in a plentiful way due to a prolonged non-consumption during the night, but also drink during the day, between and during the meals, hot water warms and helps the digestion process. Finishing a meal with a glass or a small herbal tea made with hot water is the best stimulant for digestion. This is an ancestral principle dictated by Ayurveda, which is always found to be right; if you want to lose weight, your slowed down metabolism needs hot water; if on the contrary you want to gain some, your cooled metabolism still needs hot water; especially if you are getting older or are recovering; and even more so during cold or cool seasons, drink hot!
3 – THE DEGREE OF OXIDATION
Oxidizing water is necessary to disinfect it from bacteria which are present in the water system, sometimes in too large quantities; therefore chlorine (water supply), ozone (swimming pools), hydrogen peroxide, etc. are used to fight against water germs. But to drink long-term oxidized water is … to oxidize yourself, and therefore to age somewhat with each sip taken. It is therefore better to avoid long-term drinking of oxidized water. After filtration, the water becomes very acceptable due to the elimination of residual oxidizing molecules present (chlorine and chloramines) in the water supply.
The oxidation of water is an unrecognized value, very largely underestimated; for an element as essential as water, its impact on health is nevertheless very important; drinking or eating oxidized foods every day logically leads to diseases of oxidation and aging (cancer, thrombosis, bacterial and virus infections, vascular accidents and heart attacks): concerning the drinking water which represents 99% of our molecules constitutionally, it would be high time to inform populations that the water supply is really oxidized by chlorine and that this situation can easily be changed by filtration before consumption.
4 – THE SALINITY OR HARDNESS OF THE WATER
This is about the mineral content, most of which is the presence of calcium, magnesium and potassium. This value can also be read on the labels of bottled water! Waters with a high overall minerality, between 1600 and 4300 mg / liter (Vichy among others) are not recommended for people who want to clean their blood and their connective tissue (intoxication, obesity, overweight), because these waters are too salty, which rather promotes water retention and less tissue drainage.
