Skin health concerns:

The skin is the first area in the body exposed to environmental toxins, radiation, and trauma from a bruise, or a cut, and is the reflection of health (or disease and sickness). When there is a temporary eruption on the skin, a skin rash, it is usually a symptom of an underlying condition. This can be an indication of an allergic reaction (to foods, cosmetics, or other allergens) or disease (measles, chickenpox, scarlet fever, Lyme disease, psoriasis, and shingles to name but a few). A skin rash can also be caused by insect bites, dry skin, seborrhea, dermatitis, and athlete’s foot.

The skin is made of three layers: the outermost superficial layer, the middle layer, and the underlying layer of fat. It can be scaly, and there can be round or oval patches on the skin.

Sun exposure and skin cancer:
