1 – Just ripe banana (frozen)
Tip: (Colombe showed David how you can simply peel bananas when they are just ripe, cut them into one inch portions, freeze them on a biscuit pan and save them in a freezer bag until ready to use. No more bananas gone to waist, there’s a limit to eating banana bread, even if it is another one of David’s favourite snacks!)
1 – Tablespoon of hemp hearts (raw shelled hemp seeds)
1 – Tablespoon of organic shelled sunflower
1 – Tablespoon of organic flax seed meal
1 – Heaping teaspoon (or to taste) of Rodelle’s Gourmet Baking Cocoa (or powder equivalent)
2 – Measures of SynerG Protein – with natural vanilla (Whey or Vegan)
In a Vita-Mix blender, (this brand of mixer or equivalent preferably, since the blades will grind the hemp hearts and frozen banana) start by adding the hemp seeds, sunflower, flax seed and cocoa to 200 ml of Organic Fortified Soy Chocolate Beverage and blend at medium to high speed, in order to obtain a smooth texture. Then add 100 ml of Organic Fortified Soy Beverage Original, and the frozen banana. Mix until nice and smooth and then add the Syner G proteins and mix at low-medium speed another few seconds.
For a special decorated version, simply add banana slices, grated coconut, pine nuts or sesame seeds and dark chocolate shavings.
There you have it, David looks forward to getting up every day and he’s content until noon after the velvety, chocolatey, smooth concoction, chock full of good protein, probiotics, enzymes, omega 3 and antioxidants!
